Smart Meter Engineer Issue Hi all I wonder if anyone has encountered this issue. A week ago i got an email from ScottPower my electricity supplier "We have identified you have some issues with your Smart meter and would like to attempt to resolve them. Your smart recovery appointment is ready for you to schedule". I booked this via Scottish Power Website. Since then I've had two phone calls from a company called Calisen Metering whose customer service agent is aware of the date of my engineering appointment but then wants to go through lots of security questions on the phone etc which makes me feel this may be a scam/phishing call and I want to avoid identify fraud. So this morning when the lady called again I hung up, She then followed up with an email regarding the upcoming engineering visit and when i replied that I confirm attendance for this visit she replied: "I appreciate you getting back to me, however all appointments need to be confirmed over the phone as the calls are recorded it just helps us to make sure that we've gotten all of the correct information from your supplier and passed that onto our engineer correctly so that they can carry the job out with no issues. So, if you could pop us a call back on 0333 220 5447 to run through the questions that would be brilliant" When I googled Calisen Metering I see a post by Scottish Power that they've partnered with this company but the number they advise to call is different ( 03456122121) to the one in the ladies email hence why i worry the lady who called allegedly from this company is a scammer. Anyone else here using Scottish Power encountering the same issue??
