FIRE DOOR INSPECTION So I've had my front door inspected by Gedas (T- 07412 089093) who came recommended by another resident Gedas seemed nice enough. He said my door doesn't need to be replaced, but does need adjusting so the millimetres of the opening adhered to fire regulations. He explained that CBW management company would be requiring first door safety certificates from all the owners at some point. Without any further guidance on this or knowing anymore about these regulations, I've reluctantly agreed to having my door rectified and getting a 'certificate' from Gedas All this will cost me total £228. Quite a lot of money. He starts work next week where upon completion I get the certificate I honestly don't know if I'm being ripped off or this is part of the procedure. I don't know what would happen to home owners who don't get the certificates. All I know is at least I don't have to replace my door There has been very little guidance or information on this Thoughts from fellow home owners would help Gedas website FYI https://www.fpfireprotection.uk/
